Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

  1. This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Patrick Cafferty. He was born May 1972 in Boise, Idaho. On the evening of August 18th, 2004 he and his family were hit by a drunk driver. This crash tragically took Patrick's life, and injured his wife and child. He lived his 32 years to the fullest and will always be remembered by his friends and family. We will remember him as a giant of a man in body, mind, and soul.

Civil Suite

Just to let everyone know that the civil suite filed against the Idaho Transportation Deparment will go forward in district court! Hope you all wish us well!

Appeal
To let everyone know. Timothy Hedges tried to have his 5 year sentence for his DUI August 2nd overturned. Thankfully, the judge denied his motion!!  He'll still be in up to 30 years.
Court Information
Finally! As you all know we had the sentencing hearing on Wednesday April 27th. It went well the judge increased his sentence:

Timothy will serve: 15 yrs fixed (no ability for parole) up to 25 years (depending on what the parole board determines)

This is a great outcome. The Cafferty family is thankful for all of your support throughout this trying 9 months. You all helped us fill the courtroom at every court appointment and wrote letters to the judge, this did not go unnoticed. The judge said so at the sentencing hearing. Now court is finally over and we hope that you all know how indebted we are to you all. Thank you.

**RULING on August 2nd DUI**

To let everyone know. Timothy was further charged and sentenced to 2 more yrs fixed up to 5 more years. This means that he will be serving a 17 yr fixed sentence up to 30 yrs!
